Oh hello, October!

And since I have a vested interest in raising awareness about domestic violence (as should we all) as well as the password to get into this blog, I will use my power for good.
Check out the upcoming events in the community, then attend said events, raise your (and a friend’s!) awareness, and support a cause that counts!
October 3: Swing into Fall! Dance to the beat of the Swing Machine at Tracy Hall in Norwich. Doors open at 7:30, lessons (swing and salsa!) at 8, and the dance competition (prizes included kicks up at 10. Friday Night Film Series! Fridays in October join us for popcorn, films and fun at Lebanon College (on the green) room 117, main building upper level. All movies are FREE!

Register now for DV in Your Workplace conference, sponsored by the DHMC DV Task Force. Interested in doing more to end violence? Sign up for WISE’s intensive training course for Crisis Line Advocates. The comprehensive training will go in depth from the dynamics and cultural/historical context of violence, to the nuances of the Empowerment Model and victim-centered advocacy.
