the uvScene

Thanks to all of you who came out to support Revolution, the Tip Top and most importantly, us, the uvScene.  We all are so appreciative of Kim’s generous offer to help raise money for us and to the Tip Top Cafe for hosting the event.  It was a hectic, but fun filled night.  I personally had no idea how much work goes on behind the scenes to make this happen, and quite frankly, I found it a little addicting.  I’m glad that Mary Claire didn’t make too much fun of me for not knowing anything about women’s clothes!  Hopefully Kim will let me help out next time. I did my best to capture images of the event, but my camera was a little lacking, so I’ll try to get everything I have up in the next couple of days.  Kim indicated that there were about 185 people who came through the door, again, thank you all!  For those of you who haven’t attended this before, next time it you need to come!  Things like this don’t happen in the Upper Valley that often and you really need to take advantage of these opportunties when they present themselves.

We certainly share the ‘make your own fun’ ethic and that’s exactly what the Revolution Fashion Shows are all about. By coming out to events such as this, we can next-level our online connections and introduce our 3D selves to people in our neighborhood. I look forward to seeing you all at the show! White River Junction… It’s Not So Bad!

It’s October Rocktober once again, and that always means a busy time here in the uv. Leaf-peepers are emerging, but you know and I know that there’s more to do than stare at dead leaves in the treetops. Street festivals, live music, fashion shows, dancing and more. Check it!

It’s that time of year again. This Saturday, October 6th, The Tip Top Cafe will host Revolution’s 6th annual Fall Fashion Show.

There’s something really inspiring about 50+ local people collaborating in an entirely amateur, mostly improvisational, blast of fashion, music & imagery just because it feels good to do it. From the runway models, to the hair stylists to the tech production & DJs; each individual brings their own style to the runway.

It’s a good time, and I hope you can join us. Admission is $12 and all proceeds benefit the Youth Managed Cafe Project. Doors open at 9PM. The show starts at 9:30PM.
